Sasakwa's
Gifted and Talented program is 3rd grade
through 12th grade. Gifted and
talented students are identified through
three processes: testing process,
teacher recommendations, or artistic
abilities.
Sasakwa's program provides challenging
standards-based instructional practices and
highly engaging learning opportunities to
children with exceptional capacity or
creative talent. These students
receive a variety of enrichment and
acceleration experiences that meet their
advanced learning needs. The regular
curriculum is modified or changed to meet
student's needs. Elementary students
are pulled out of class at least once every
two weeks and are offered the opportunity to
work with high school gifted and talented
students on various inquiry education
projects. Students also get to take
special enrichment field trips throughout
the year. |
